Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin recently shared his thoughts on the recent altercation involving bloggers and vloggers at the home of Dr. Grace Boadu’s family. Expressing his viewpoint, Lilwin suggested that rather than just resorting to physical violence, the family should have dealt with the situation more decisively by preventing the bloggers’ intrusion altogether.

He criticized the behavior of bloggers and vloggers in modern Ghanaian society, finding it aggravating and lacking in sensibility. Lilwin recounted instances where such individuals would intrude on private family gatherings, particularly during funeral planning, and ask inappropriate questions.

The incident in question involved Kumasi-based vloggers, including Papa Jay, Grade Wan, and YA Media, who had visited Dr. Grace Boadu’s family to document the preparations for her funeral. However, their intentions were met with hostility as they were physically assaulted, had their belongings confiscated, and their vehicle vandalized.

The altercation sparked discussion on social media platforms, with videos circulating showing the extent of the damage to the vloggers’ vehicle, highlighting the severity of the confrontation.

“We realized that nothing was happening inside the house, so we decided to leave. As we were leaving, members of the family started coming towards us. Papa Jay, who had conducted the initial interview, was slapped. He tried to explain that we were there peacefully to gather information about the funeral arrangements, but they continued to assault him,” one of the vloggers recounted.

  • “I was beaten by about seven people. They took both of my phones from me during the assault. While they were beating me, my phones fell to the ground, and they confiscated them,” he further explained.
