In a courageous legal maneuver that transpired in the courtroom, a Harare resident recently took her boyfriend’s wife to legal proceedings, alleging a disturbance of the peace.
As per sources, Fabina Charuwanza initiated legal measures against Stella Mwenda, the wife of her romantic partner.
Accusing her of disrupting peace, Charuwanza alleged that Mwenda posted images of her on social media and purportedly engaged in stalking behavior.
Charuwanza remained resolute in her plea, insisting on the removal of her pictures from Mwenda’s phone and an immediate cessation of their circulation on social platforms. She asserted that she was unaware of her boyfriend’s marital status.
“I was unaware of their lawful marriage status because I encountered his profile on a singles WhatsApp group,” Charuwanza stated during the legal proceedings.
Expressing her distress, Mwenda revealed the strain on her marriage, citing her husband’s absence for the past four months and their lack of intimacy due to Charuwanza’s involvement.
After a rigorous courtroom exchange, Magistrate Sharon Mashavira ruled in Charuwanza’s favor, granting her the peace order sought against Mwenda.
