Projectors have been procured and will be distributed to every NDC constituency office nationwide by Okai Mintah, the National Chairman of the Youth Working Committee of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
These projectors aim to raise awareness among Ghanaians about Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s unfulfilled promises.
Mintah asserts that this initiative is aimed at educating voters ahead of the 2024 elections about the failures of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration and aiding them in making informed decisions.
This information was disclosed by George Opare Addo, the NDC’s National Youth Organizer, during an interview with Mugabe Maase on Power FM’s Inside Politics and TV XYZ.
As Ghana prepares for the upcoming elections, Opare Addo labeled Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling NPP, as a habitual liar who needs to be exposed to the Ghanaian populace.
He pointed out that during Bawumia’s tenure as Akufo-Addo’s running mate in 2016, numerous promises were made to secure votes from Ghanaians. However, these pledges were not fulfilled during their time in office, particularly regarding issues affecting the nation’s economy.
Opare Addo highlighted that reminding Ghanaians of Bawumia’s unfulfilled promises, such as controlling inflation and stabilizing the currency, is part of the NDC’s electoral strategy.
He disputed Bawumia’s claim of being the driving force behind the nation’s digitization during a speech at UPSA on February 7, 2024.
“Bawumia claims he initiated digitization, but I refute this assertion as false. Under Dr. Omane Boamah’s leadership at the Ministry of Communication, the NDC implemented numerous digitization initiatives that have contributed to our current status.”
“During her 2017 parliamentary vetting, Ursula Owusu commended Omane Boamah for his outstanding efforts at the communication ministry. Therefore, how can he now demand credit for Ghana’s digitization drive?”
“I commend Okai Mintah, the National Chairman of the Youth Wing Working Committee, for boldly choosing to fully expose Bawumia,” he declared.
Opare Addo mentioned that the campaign to enlighten the public about Dr. Bawumia’s deceit has already commenced in the Eastern, Northeast, and Savannah Regions.
