In an effort to provide access to high-quality early childhood education, SABRE Education, an international non-governmental organization, and the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education (APWCE) have opened an early grade resource center in Agogo, in the Ashanti Region.

The center’s goals include empowering student teachers, enhancing their abilities, and changing people’s lives.

The facility, the sixth in the nation, is intended to help teachers and students and includes cutting-edge technology, a multimedia component, and an initial supply of teaching and learning materials.

James Ayando, Director of Programs at Sabre Education, clarified that the organization prioritized early childhood education and that funding the field was crucial.

The goal is to establish a readily available area where upcoming early childhood educators can produce creative and captivating materials and cultivate a setting that encourages children to learn via play.

Teachers will be able to share ideas, improve their methods, and put their expertise to use in a real-world setting at this center.

According to Mr. Ayando, the creation of these play-based learning resource centers is in line with Sabre Education’s larger plan to improve early childhood education preparation for all of Ghana’s student teachers.

He advised the school’s administration to adopt a maintenance culture in order to prolong the life of the building.

Principal:

Rev. Dr. Mrs. Grace Sintim Adasi, the principal of APWCE, stated that the resource center would provide students with the inspiration, direction, and tools they need to succeed academically and personally.

She emphasized that the facility was more than just a physical location with books and supplies; rather, it was a place where its committed faculty members could take advantage of opportunities for professional growth, share ideas, and improve their teaching strategies.

“We can therefore make a lasting difference in the lives of our student-teachers through partnerships with Sabre Education because the impact of this early grade resource center extends beyond the boundaries of our college,” the speaker continued.

Rev. Dr. Mrs. Adasi expressed gratitude to Sabre Education for its support, commitment, and hard work.

She acknowledged the institution’s dedication to provide high-quality instruction and empowering young learners, and she applauded its staff and student teachers for their efforts. She also recommended them to seize the chances it presents.
